Users will be able to allow others to share their WhatsApp statuses

WhatsApp is testing a new feature that will allow users to give others permission to share their statuses. This feature is already available in the latest beta version of WhatsApp for Android, and it should be available in the stable version soon.
Here's What We Know
This option is disabled by default. In order for others to share the status, you will need to enable this feature when creating each new status. If someone shares the status, the user will receive a notification.

To protect your privacy, those who view the shared status will not see that you created it. In addition, if someone else reposts the status, you won't be notified - only the user who first shared the status will be notified. This is because each repost creates a new copy of the status, independent of the original.
Until now, a status could only be shared by the person who was directly tagged in it. With the new feature, any of your contacts will be able to share your updates if you give them permission.
The feature is currently in testing, but will soon be available in the stable version of WhatsApp for everyone.
As a reminder, WhatsApp will no longer work on the iPhone 5s, 6 and 6 Plus from 1 June. From now on, WhatsApp will only work on devices with iOS 15.1 and higher.
