Stronghold: Crusader returns - new trailer of the remaster of the cult strategy game is presented

FireFly studio presented gameplay trailer of the remaster of the cult historical strategy Stronghold: Crusader, which was released in 2002 and won the hearts of hundreds of thousands of gamers of that time.
Here's What We Know
The developers reminded that Stronghold: Crusader Definitive Edition, as well as the updated version of the first part, which was released in 2023 and sold more than 500 thousand copies, will be not just a remaster, but an expanded and improved version of the famous game.
The video is mostly dedicated to the new co-operative mode, where you can complete 10 missions of "Battle Trail" together or team up with a virtual ally.
Flashback
In addition to graphical improvements and adaptations of Stronghold: Crusader for modern systems, FireFly will add four new Lords, bringing the total number of AI opponents up to 20 characters and each of them will have their own approaches to battles.
Stronghold: Crusader will also add eight new units, such as desert Bedouins and Arab horsemen, which have unique advantages and can be used in different situations. For example, to hire Bedouins you need to build a special tent, and for horsemen you need a supply of camels.
The updated Crusader series will feature larger maps for larger and more spectacular battles, and the developers have also prepared two additional story campaigns, which include five missions each and allow you to play as representatives of European countries and peoples of the Middle East.
When We Can Expect It
Stronghold Crusader: Definitive Edition will be released on 15 July 2025 only on Steam.
The game can already be added to your wishlist. And as part of Steam Next Fest, everyone can get a free demo.
