Distinct Possibility studio announced a large-scale MMO-shooter Reaper Actually, the description of which sounds very ambitious.

Here's What We Know

Development of Reaper Actually is led by John Smedley - one of the creators of PlanetSide 2 and EverQuest and former head of Amazon Games Studios.

Gamers will take on the role of mercenaries who will perform various tasks for five factions, and the action of Reaper Actually will unfold on the fictional island of Marova, the size of which, as the developers say, "four times the size of the largest map Call of Duty Warzone".

It is expected that one Reaper Actually server will accommodate up to 200 players, who will be accompanied by AI characters.

The Steam description states that the shooter is developed using artificial intelligence, but the generated content is based on the work of real designers and artists.

Reaper Actually doesn't have a release date yet.
