YouTube Introduces Feature to Completely Disable Shorts Viewing Time for Users
Short videos have quietly become one of the main harmful habits of modern people. Platforms provide an endless feed of engaging videos on any topic, which consume a huge amount of time.
Earlier this winter, YouTube allowed parents to Fewer Shorts for Kids: YouTube Allows Parents to Limit Viewing Time of Short Videos under the 'Parental control' program, and finally, adult users have the opportunity to almost completely turn off Shorts for themselves.
What is known
Now, the YouTube settings include the option to limit Shorts viewing time to '0 minutes'.
The update is being rolled out gradually, so the new option is not yet available to everyone. To set the limit, you should go to the 'Settings' of the YouTube mobile app → 'Time management' → 'Daily limits' → 'Shorts limits' at the very bottom of the list.
You can set Shorts viewing limits for both yourself and children.
