In early April, the space role-playing game Starfield reached PlayStation 5 and is no longer an Xbox console exclusive. Earlier insiders reported that simultaneously with working on porting the game to Sony’s platform, a version for Nintendo Switch 2 was also being developed. However, later other sources claimed that Bethesda had abandoned this idea due to the console’s technical limitations.

But unexpectedly, indirect confirmation appeared that Starfield may still come out on Switch 2. Rumors about this were revived because the Taiwanese qualification commission issued an age rating for the corresponding version of Starfield.

Usually, developers go through this procedure several months before the release, but sometimes it turns out to be just a formality that leads to nothing.

Until Bethesda officially confirms the information about another port of the game, it remains in the category of rumors. However, those Switch 2 users who would like to experience Todd Howard’s controversial RPG have another reason to hope for this. Although if Starfield does come out on the hybrid console, it will certainly be with significant compromises in graphics and performance.
