Alongside the Huawei Unveils Pura 90 Series with 200MP Zoom Camera and Bold Design and foldable gadget Pura X Max, Huawei introduced one of the year's most unusual devices — the Watch Buds 2.

This is the second generation of the unique "2-in-1" hybrid, which combines fully functional smartwatches and wireless earphones hidden under a flip dial.

What is known

The device features a 1.5” OLED display with a resolution of 466 x 466 pixels and a record peak brightness of up to 3000 nits. The case is made of titanium alloy, the screen is protected by Kunlun Glass 2 coating, and the overall design is 15% thinner compared to the first model. Huawei used a new hinge mechanism that withstands over 100,000 openings.

The watch supports health monitoring thanks to the TruSeen 6.0 sensor for heart rate measurement, ECG, and blood oxygen level monitoring.

Huawei Watch Buds 2 work up to five days without recharging in normal mode.

However, the main feature of the gadget is that it is a charging case for the included TWS earphones

The earphones themselves received a significant upgrade:

  • they now support adaptive noise cancellation (ANC 2.0): despite their tiny size, the earphones cut out up to 45 dB of noise;
  • they are equipped with a new driver with a planar diaphragm, providing clear high frequencies and deeper bass;
  • there is support for a transparency mode that keeps external noises audible for user safety;
  • touch control technology is implemented — you can just tap your ear to switch tracks or answer calls.

The earphones provide up to 5 hours of listening with ANC turned on.

Huawei Watch Buds 2 are offered in several color options — Amber Brown, Obsidian Black, and Titanium Silver.

The price of the Huawei Watch Buds 2 with a fluoroelastomer strap is about $510 (converted from yuan), and the version with a titanium bracelet costs $585.

The device is already available for pre-order in China, and a global release is expected in June 2026.
