Logitech's new folding mouse goes fully flat — something Microsoft's Arc can't do
Logitech is working on a folding travel mouse that collapses completely flat — a trick its closest rival, the Microsoft Surface Arc, can't pull off. Insider Roland Quandt published official-looking renders and early specs on WinFuture, and the polished marketing materials suggest an announcement isn't far off.
The hardware
The unnamed mouse unfolds into a pointed-arc shape designed to sit comfortably under the hand, then folds in half to slip into a jacket pocket or laptop bag. That's a meaningful step beyond the Surface Arc, which snaps into a flatter profile but doesn't fold in two.
Gone is the traditional scroll wheel. Logitech replaced it with an adaptive touch scrolling panel — a trade-off that keeps the profile slim when folded. The design is ambidextrous, so left- and right-handed users are equally covered, which is something the Arc's curved shape doesn't accommodate as cleanly.
Connectivity covers up to three Bluetooth devices simultaneously, letting you switch between a laptop, tablet, and phone without re-pairing. That kind of multi-device support is increasingly standard on Logitech's MX-line peripherals, and it makes sense here for anyone juggling screens during a commute or in a hotel room.
What's still unknown
Logitech hasn't confirmed a name, price, or release date. The Surface Arc retails for £71.99 in the UK, so pricing context for this new model — whether it undercuts or sits above that — remains an open question. Battery life, sensor resolution, and weight are also unconfirmed.
Quandt's track record with product leaks is strong, and the existence of finished renders typically means an official reveal is weeks away rather than months. Keep an eye out for a formal announcement before the summer.
