Machenike Mini GTR packs a Ryzen 7 desktop punch into 0.67 liters
Chinese PC brand Machenike has launched the Mini GTR, a compact desktop that squeezes an AMD Ryzen 7 8745H processor into a 128 × 128 × 41 mm aluminum box weighing just 650 g. The base configuration ships with 16 GB DDR5 RAM and a 1 TB SSD, priced at $999 on the Machenike official store with international shipping. For anyone tired of a full tower gathering dust under the desk, this is worth a look — if you can get your hands on one.
The hardware
The Ryzen 7 8745H delivers 8 cores, 16 threads, and a turbo clock of up to 4.9 GHz. It's a step below the 8845H in AI processing features but matches it for raw compute, making it capable for video editing, software development, and multitasking. Integrated Radeon 780M graphics handle light gaming — Cyberpunk 2077 and Forza Horizon 5 run at low-to-medium settings, which is respectable for a machine this size. A dual heat-pipe cooling system keeps the chip stable at up to 65 W TDP.
Ports and upgrades
The connectivity list is unusually generous for a mini PC. Six USB-A ports cover everyday peripherals without a hub. The standout is a USB4 port running at 40 Gbps — it supports an external GPU enclosure, which means you could bolt on a discrete graphics card later and turn this into a proper gaming rig. HDMI 2.0, DisplayPort 1.4, 2.5 Gb Ethernet, Wi-Fi 6, and Bluetooth 5.3 round out the spec sheet.

The chassis is also genuinely upgradeable: two SO-DIMM slots accept more RAM, and two M.2 PCIe 4.0 slots take additional storage. Unlike sealed ultrabooks, you're not locked in at purchase.
The catch — availability
This is where the Mini GTR stumbles for US and UK buyers. Supply from the global store is inconsistent, and no major UK retailer stocks it. A cheaper Ryzen 7 8745HS variant has appeared on Amazon US around $649, but inventory comes and goes. As Notebookcheck notes, the Mini GTR sits directly against the Beelink SER8 ($699–$1,099), GEEKOM A7 Max ($799–$999), and Minisforum UM870 ($699–$899) — all of which offer comparable Ryzen performance with far easier availability in Western markets. The Mini GTR's edge is its 0.67 L form factor and USB4 eGPU support, two things most rivals don't offer simultaneously. If those features matter to you, it's worth monitoring stock.
