If you've been waiting for a reason to splurge on a 60% Hall Effect keyboard, IQUNIX has a new one — wrapped in Ghost in the Shell branding. The Chinese keyboard maker has partnered with publisher Kodansha to release two limited-edition versions of its EV63, timed to a new Ghost in the Shell anime series premiering July 7, 2026. Pricing and pre-order details haven't been announced yet, but expect a premium over the standard EV63's $169–189 USD retail price, per MacSources.

The hardware

The two colorways — Shell Core and Cyber Blue — both feature anodized aluminum bodies, custom keycaps in a retro-futuristic font, and translucent modifier keys printed with imagery from the franchise. A laser-engraved bottom plate features the series' main character. The design is collector-focused without being subtle about it.

The bigger hardware change is the switches. Where the standard EV63 ships with IQUNIX's own Hall Effect switches, these limited editions default to Keytok Nova linears. The Novas use a freely floating magnet design — similar in principle to Gateron's Dual-Drive approach — which produces a smoother actuation and a softer thud on the upstroke. Actuation force sits between 35–48 gf with 3.4 mm total travel, confirms TechPowerUp. That's a light, fast-feeling switch well suited to gaming.

The EV63 uses a GH60-compatible tray-mount layout, meaning it fits aftermarket cases designed for boards like the Wooting 60HE — useful if you want the switches and keycaps but prefer a different chassis.

Availability

No firm release date or price has been confirmed. IQUNIX distributes through its own store and Amazon US; Amazon UK presence is limited, and no UK retail partner has been announced for this variant. The launch window is tied to the anime premiere around July 7, 2026, which is the industry-standard playbook for IP tie-ins.

Collector anime keyboards frequently sell at two to three times the base model's price. If the Ghost in the Shell EV63 lands at a similar premium, buyers in the US and UK should budget accordingly — and factor in shipping costs or import duties if ordering direct.
