Star Wars Zero Company leaks with an August 27 release date and sub-$70 pricing

Star Wars Zero Company has a release date — at least according to one of gaming's most accurate leakers. Billbil-kun, writing for Dealabs, reports the tactical RPG from Bit Reactor and Respawn Entertainment lands on August 27, 2026, on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. The leak dropped just hours before the game's planned debut at Summer Game Fest 2026, where an official release date was also expected.

The pricing

Two editions are planned. The Standard tier comes in at $50 on PC and $60 on consoles, available in both physical and digital formats. The Deluxe edition — digital only — runs $60 on PC and $70 on consoles. On PC in Europe, those translate to €49.99 and €59.99 respectively, per the same leak. One thing notably absent from the Deluxe package: early access. Buyers paying the premium get extra content of some kind, but no head start on the campaign.

That pricing structure is worth noting. At $50 on PC, Zero Company sits below the current $70 AAA floor set by recent blockbusters — closer to the price point of XCOM 2 at launch than something like Star Wars Jedi: Survivor.

The game

Bit Reactor was founded by Greg Foertsch, the former art director on the XCOM series at Firaxis Games, alongside other Firaxis veterans. The story, written by Aaron Contreras — who also wrote Jedi: Fallen Order and Jedi: Survivor — spans the gap between the Clone Wars and the rise of the Galactic Empire. Players lead Hax, a former Republic officer, commanding a squad that includes a Jedi Knight, a clone trooper, and several Mandalorians.

The combat is turn-based with a heavy emphasis on character relationships: how well squadmates get along affects their effectiveness in battle, a mechanic borrowed from the XCOM playbook.

The timing

An August 27 launch gives Zero Company a clean window before the Q3 pile-up. A September release for GTA 6 has been widely rumored, and Forza Horizon 6 is also expected in the autumn window. Launching in late August sidesteps that congestion entirely — useful for a new IP that needs word-of-mouth to build.

Billbil-kun's track record on leaks is strong, though EA has not confirmed any of these details. The Summer Game Fest reveal should make everything official shortly.
