LG has added a new model to its UltraGear line that can stream AAA games without a PC or console attached. The 34GX90SB-W is a 34-inch curved OLED ultrawide with 240Hz refresh rate, 0.03ms response time, and webOS built in — meaning Xbox Cloud Gaming, GeForce NOW, and Amazon Luna run directly on the screen. It goes on sale at $999.99 in the US; UK pre-orders are live at £1,599.98 on LG.com, with shipping starting June 17.

The panel

The curved OLED (800R radius) runs at 3440×1440 resolution — standard 21:9 ultrawide — and hits 1,300 nits peak brightness using LG's MLA+ technology. Contrast is effectively infinite, as with all OLED screens. Color coverage reaches 98.5% of the DCI-P3 gamut, which makes it usable for video editing and color work beyond gaming. The display carries VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400 certification and supports both NVIDIA G-Sync and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro to eliminate screen tearing.

The webOS angle

The standout feature is the integrated webOS operating system with onboard storage, which lets the monitor install and run cloud gaming apps independently. Hook it up to a keyboard or gamepad, add an internet connection and a subscription, and you can play without a tower or console. Xbox Cloud Gaming streams at up to 1440p through Game Pass Ultimate. GeForce NOW gives access to your existing PC game library but caps paid-tier users at 100 hours per month as of January 2026. Amazon Luna is the third option, though its library skews toward casual titles. All three depend entirely on a stable, low-latency broadband connection — cloud gaming on a shaky 30Mbps link will disappoint regardless of the monitor.

Ports and build

Connectivity covers HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 1.4, USB-C with 65W power delivery, and a built-in USB hub. The stand adjusts for height, tilt, and swivel, and comes in a white-and-grey finish — the "W" in the model name stands for White, a deliberate departure from the UltraGear line's usual black. RGB Hexagon Lighting wraps the rear panel.

Worth it?

At $999.99, this sits above the Dell Alienware AW3425DW — a QD-OLED 240Hz rival currently available for around $750 — which lacks webOS but offers competitive brightness and a lower entry cost. The LG's cloud gaming capability is a genuine differentiator for anyone without a gaming PC, but the subscription overhead and GeForce NOW's monthly hour cap mean heavy users may find the pitch less compelling than it first appears. Pre-order details are on the LG USA official product page; UK pricing is tracked via TFTCentral.
