Meta Glasses: AI smart glasses starting at $299, no Ray-Ban required
Meta has launched a new line of AI smart glasses called Meta Glasses, co-designed with EssilorLuxottica — the parent company of Ray-Ban — but sold as a separate, more affordable brand starting at $299. The lineup arrives at a pointed moment: Meta has paused the international rollout of its Ray-Ban Display glasses to the UK, France, Italy, and Canada due to overwhelming US demand, per Engadget. For buyers outside the US who wanted the premium display model at $799, Meta Glasses is the audio-first alternative available right now.
Three frames, 26 styles
The launch lineup covers three frame styles. The Meta Adventurer is a rectangular design available in standard and large sizes, priced at $299. The Meta Fury offers a chunkier, more statement look at the same $299. The Meta Glasses by Kylie — a collaboration with Kylie Jenner — features a slim oval frame and costs $399. Across all three frame families, Meta confirms 26 total styles at launch, and all are compatible with prescription lenses.
What the hardware offers
Inside each pair: a 12 MP hands-free camera, open-ear speakers for music, podcasts, and calls, and a six-microphone array with noise suppression. Battery life sits at over 8 hours per charge, with the included charging case adding up to 40 more hours. There's a dedicated physical button for calling up Meta AI, though it can be reassigned if you'd prefer.

A dedicated button gives quick access to Meta AI on every pair of Meta Glasses.
The AI powering these glasses is Muse Spark, the first model out of Meta's Superintelligence Labs. It's a multimodal system — meaning it understands both what you say and what you're looking at — and it can answer questions ranging from sports scores to local restaurant recommendations. The same Muse Spark upgrade is also rolling out to existing Ray-Ban Meta and Oakley Meta glasses in the US and Canada.
Coming soon
A few features are still on the way. Meta plans to add dynamic photo bursts (the glasses capture a series of shots and suggest the best ones), pedestrian turn-by-turn navigation without needing a screen, and live translation support expanding to 14 more languages including Mandarin, Japanese, Korean, and Hindi. Six languages are already supported at launch.
Meta Glasses are on sale now via Meta.com and partner retailers in the US, UK, Canada, Australia, and select European markets.
