Rise of the Ronin, Avatar, and five more games hit PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium
PS Plus Extra and Premium subscribers in the US and UK can already play Rise of the Ronin — Team Ninja's feudal Japan action RPG landed on July 15, six days ahead of the rest of the world. The bigger wave hits on July 21, when Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora and five more titles join the catalog globally. Twelve games exit the library on the same day, so there's a narrow window to finish anything on that list.
The headliners
Rise of the Ronin (PS5) is Team Ninja's open-world action RPG set in late-19th-century Japan — familiar territory for anyone who put time into Nioh or Wo Long. US and UK subscribers got early access on July 15; Japan followed on July 16. Everyone else joins on July 21.
Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora (PS5) is Ubisoft's open-world take on Pandora, released in late 2023. It arrives globally on July 21 for Extra and Premium tiers. If you skipped it at full price, this is a reasonable entry point.

Both are worth a look if you never played them; Fahrenheit in particular holds up as one of David Cage's more coherent games.
What's leaving July 21
Twelve games exit the catalog on July 21 — the same day the new titles arrive:
Risk of Rain 2, Tropico 6, Clash: Artifacts of Chaos, Röki, Source of Madness, Cursed to Golf, Hundred Days: Winemaking Simulator, Onee Chanbara Origin, Get Even, Bomber Crew, Space Crew: Legendary Edition, and Infinite Minigolf.
