Ugreen launched the Nexode Pro 160W on 30 July 2026, and its headline trick is a retractable USB-C cable built directly into the charger body — no separate cable required. At £79.99 on a 20% launch discount (regular price £99.99), it undercuts the Anker Prime 160W by around £50, and the Anker doesn't include a cable at all. If you regularly charge a laptop, tablet, and phone from one brick, this is worth a look.

The retractable cable

The pull-out cord extends to 70cm and locks into eight positions, so you can stop it at exactly the length you need. It's a reel-style mechanism — tug it out, click it into place, push a button to retract. The cable delivers up to 140W on its own, enough to charge a MacBook Pro 16 from flat to around 56% in 30 minutes, per Notebookcheck. Ugreen claims the Nexode Pro is the first commercial 160W charger to combine a colour display with a retractable cable, though independent verification is still pending.

Ports, power, and the smart display

Beyond the built-in cable, the charger adds two USB-C ports and one USB-A port. Power splits like this: the retractable cable and the first USB-C port each support up to 140W; the second USB-C handles up to 100W; and USB-A tops out at 22.5W. Total output across all ports is 160W. Protocol support covers USB PD 3.1 and 3.2, PPS, Qualcomm Quick Charge, AFC, SCP, and UFCS — so it works with practically any device.

The colour display on the front shows real-time wattage, voltage, current, and temperature per port. If you'd rather check from across the room, the Ugreen Connect app connects over Wi-Fi or Bluetooth and lets you adjust power settings, trigger a safety cut-off, and push firmware updates over the air.

The whole unit measures 82 × 37 × 73mm and weighs 310g — compact for 160W output, though not pocketable. GaN (gallium nitride) circuitry, specifically Ugreen's GaNInfinity chip, is what keeps the size in check.

Where to buy

The Nexode Pro 160W is available now from the Ugreen UK Store and Amazon UK at £79.99. Currys is also stocking it. The 20% launch discount brings the price down from the £99.99 RRP, though it's unclear how long that price holds.
