NVIDIA published its financial results for the second quarter of the 2027 fiscal year, which ended on July 26, 2026. The company's business scale continues to grow rapidly: quarterly revenue reached $96.2 billion, up 18% compared to the previous quarter and 106% year-over-year.

Profit rose even more noticeably. GAAP operating profit amounted to $63.7 billion, which is 124% higher than last year's result. Net profit reached $59.7 billion compared to $26.4 billion a year earlier — an increase of 126%. The gross margin was an impressive 75%.

NVIDIA increasingly relies on Data Centers

The main source of money remains the Data Center direction. For the quarter, it brought in $89 billion, 117% more than a year ago. Thus, Data Centers accounted for approximately 92.5% of NVIDIA's total quarterly revenue.

The remaining $7.2 billion pertains to Edge Computing, where various products and platforms of the company are now combined. Its revenue grew by 27% over the year. NVIDIA no longer provides separate financial results for its gaming business, making it impossible to determine the exact amount brought in by consumer gaming graphics cards in this report.

The shift in focus is also curious. The GeForce brand is indeed not mentioned even once in the quarterly press release. Instead, NVIDIA talks about the Vera Rubin platform, AI infrastructure, RTX Spark, DGX Station, robotics, autonomous transport, and software tools for local AI models.

The next target — $108 billion

NVIDIA forecasts revenue of about $108 billion for the third quarter, plus or minus 2%. Moreover, the forecast does not take into account potential revenue from Data Center Compute in China. In the past quarter, the company also returned about $26 billion to shareholders through share buybacks and dividends.

The financial report clearly shows how NVIDIA has changed. The company, which the average consumer associated mainly with gaming graphics cards for decades, now gets more than nine dollars out of every ten dollars in revenue from Data Center infrastructure. GeForce hasn't disappeared, but consumer graphics no longer sets the overall business picture in the current scale of NVIDIA's finances.
