The launch is set for February 2027, and for anyone hoping for a visual overhaul, these images suggest you'll be waiting longer.
The look
The renders show flat edges and a vertical camera bump positioned in the top-left corner — the same arrangement Samsung introduced with the S26. The screen stays at 6.3 inches, but the body grows slightly to 149.75 × 71.88 × 7.25 mm. That's a marginal size increase, not a redesign. One caveat: the colorway shown in the renders is a designer's guess. OnLeaks has no confirmed information on which colors Samsung will actually offer.

The specs
On paper, the S27 base is expected to pack a 50MP main camera, 12MP ultrawide, and 10MP telephoto, alongside 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, per PhoneArena. Those are solid numbers, though Samsung hasn't confirmed any of them officially. Regional processor assignments — whether US buyers get Snapdragon and European buyers get Exynos — remain unclear.
The lineup shift
The more interesting development isn't the base model at all. Samsung is adding a Galaxy S27 Pro tier, sitting between the standard and Ultra, at an estimated $1,099–$1,199. That four-model structure mirrors Apple's iPhone lineup directly, confirms Memeburn based on GSMA database records. The base S27 is expected to land near $799, roughly matching the S26's entry price — though memory cost pressures in 2026 could nudge street pricing higher.
Worth upgrading?
If you're on an S25 or S26, these renders give you little reason to rush. The base S27 is shaping up as a refinement, not a reinvention. The Pro tier is the model to watch — but pricing and full specs for that one are still unconfirmed. Samsung Unpacked in February 2027 will settle the question.
