Honor intends to compete with Apple and win back its share of the smartphone market

The Honor brand at the other day unveiled its new flagships Honor Magic 3, Honor Magic 3 Pro and Honor Magic 3 Pro+, marking its return to the premium phone segment. As it turns out, the company has big plans - to oust Apple.

CEO Zhao Ming said at a  press conference that Honor will seek to compete with Apple in the  premium device segment. Moreover, the brand intends to win back a share of the smartphone market from the Cupertinians. So far we are only talking about market in China, but not be surprised if in future Honor will also swing to global market.

And the prerequisites for this are already in place: according to CEO, the company managed to increase its market share in China from a historic low of 3% to 14.6% in just three months. This has also allowed it to become one of that time, one of the leading smartphone brands in its home market.

By the way, the executive and previously voiced these plans: in July he stated that Honor products will compete or even surpass Apple gadgets.

In addition, the brand aims to invest in the market and its research and development to better compete in the global market. In other words, the company also aims to focus on overseas markets outside China.
