Motorola Razr (2019) clamshell began updating to Android 11

Motorola has finally started updating its original Razr (2019) foldable smartphone to the current version of Android 11.

What's New

The update came out with build number RPV31.Q2-62-7-10 and includes many useful changes. For example, the redesigned interface, Conversations section in the notification bar, "bubble" messages, new power menu and Media Controls panel in the quick settings bar. The developers also improved the front end screen. You'll be able to run full featured apps on it. The firmware also includes many bug fixes, improved privacy and a fresh security patch.

When to wait for

As usual the update is distributed in waves. So you will have to wait until the firmware gets to your smartphone.

By the way, Android 11 is likely to be the last major update for the Motorola Razr (2019). The device came out with Android 9 Pie on board. Last year it was updated to Android 10.
