The fourth beta version of Android 12 includes a test app that adds new features for controlling smartphones - using their owners' facial expressions.
The Android Accessibility Suite 12.0.0 app features can be enabled in the camera settings. Six facial expressions are currently provided: open mouth, smile, raised eyebrows, look left, look right, look up.
For each expression, the user of an Android 12 smartphone with this feature activated can set a specific action, such as opening an app, going to settings, swiping left/right, etc.
Although the feature is designed for Android 12, it also works on Google Pixel smartphones running Android 11. The app is already available for download. Owners of these smartphones can download it at.
