HMD Global accidentally declassified Nokia G50 5G smartphone before the announcement

It seems that HMD Global is preparing for the release of a new budget smartphone with fifth-generation (5G) network support.

What is known

The company's French representative office published a post on Instagram with the novelty. After a while it was deleted, but a screenshot of the recording and even a video managed to save.

So, the device will hit the market in two colors and with the name Nokia G50 5G. The novelty will get a flat display with a teardrop cutout and a triple main camera with a 48 MP main sensor. All three modules and the LED flash will be mounted on a round ledge.

No other details about the smartphone in the post, but if rumors are to be believed, the device goes by the codename Punisher. It is credited with Snapdragon 480 as well as 4GB RAM and 64/128GB ROM.

The novelty is expected to be revealed in the coming days.
