Samsung announced the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 smartphones with the new One UI 3.1.1 shell in early August, and has now started updating older foldable devices to it.
The firmware has been released for the Galaxy Z Fold 2, Galaxy Z Flip 5G and Galaxy Z Flip models. As for the original Galaxy Fold, it is planned to be updated a little later.
The new version of the software has received an up-to-date security patch. In addition, Drag & Split, Multi-Active Window and Natural Window Switching, Auto Rotate All Apps, Customized App Aspect Ratios, as well as Cover Screen Mirroring and more have been added to the system. Also in the firmware the developers worked on the stability of the software, animation and opening speed of the applications.
As usual the OTAs are distributed in waves and by regions. So you'll have to wait a while for it to reach your device.
