Spotify has announced a partnership with Delta: the company will provide users in-flight access to music and podcasts

Spotify has announced a new partnership with U.S. airline Delta Air Lines .

Why

Through this partnership, airline passengers will be able to listen to licensed Spotify content on board through Delta Studio's built-in monitors, free of charge. This will include selections of the most popular playlists as well as 42 selected podcasts.

"Starting today, we are entering into a new partnership with Delta in which Spotify will take over the "audio" entertainment feature for Delta's seat backs."

At launch, users will have access to Mood Booster, Are & Be, Hot Country, mint, Today's Top Hits, Relax & Unwind, RapCaviar and Ultimate Indie playlists as well as the Crime Junkie, Science Vs, StartUp, The Dave Chang Show, The Hottest Take, The Journal and more.

"... Delta flight passengers will now be able to enjoy their favorite audio content in-flight ..."

According to the press release, Spotify plans to update the library regularly.
