Google's Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL smartphones are turning into "bricks" en masse

Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL owners have started reporting en masse that their smartphones are turning into "bricks" without warning.

What is known?

Users are writing on Reddit and the Google forum about the three-year-old flagships going into Qualcomm Emergency Download Mode and simply not being able to restore the software via the bootloader.

So far there's no information about whether the problem is hardware or software. Therefore, there is no talk of a solution to the malfunction.

But it is worth noting that Google has decided to extend the warranty service of the Pixel 4 model due to the problems found. Perhaps the company will do the same with the third generation smartphones.
