Remember Motorola earlier this year unveiled true wireless charging technology? Well now the Chinese manufacturer has released a new version of it.
What is known
This is a working prototype, which was named Motorola Air Charging (reminiscent of Xiaomi Mi Air Charge). The dock is capable of charging 4 smartphones simultaneously at a distance of up to 3 meters.
According to the manufacturer, the dock has 1,600 antennas that regularly scan smartphones. The new technology works through paper and even skin, but they added a bio-monitoring sensor to the device for safety. That is, if a person appears between the dock and the phone - charging automatically stops.
Unfortunately, there are no other details about the novelty yet. Motorola also doesn't say when it plans to release a commercial sample of the device.
