BMW introduces electric bikes with a range of up to 300 km

BMW has announced conceptual electric bicycles. The new models are called BMW i Vision AMBY and Motorrad Vision AMBY.

What is known?

BMW i Vision AMBY is equipped with a 2,000-watt-hour battery, due to which a cruising range of up to 300 km is provided. A full charge takes three hours. BMW Motorrad Vision AMBY is distinguished by the lack of pedals. Instead, the model has received a footrest, like on motorcycles, while the speed is automatically adjusted.

A total of three speed modes are available: up to 25 km/h, up to 45 km/h and up to 60 km/h. Both novelties boast a radar. It will warn of vehicles approaching from behind.

The first commercial solutions based on BMW i Vision AMBY and Motorrad Vision AMBY should go on sale shortly. There is no information on pricing yet.
