When Apple announced the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Pro series, it claimed that they provide 2.5 hours more battery life compared to the iPhone 12. Various battery drain tests have shown that this is indeed the case. Now, to get a full idea of how good the new iPhones are, compared the battery life of iPhone 13 with iPhone 12, iPhone 11 and iPhone SE.
The battery discharge test, conducted by Youtuber Arun Maini, involves all iPhones that Apple currently sells, including the iPhone SE. The discharge test simulates real-world usage, including social media, camera, streaming YouTube videos, a few games, and more.
The following shows how long all iPhones lasted in the battery drain test:
- iPhone SE (2020) - 3 hours 38 minutes
- iPhone 11 - 4 hours 20 minutes
- iPhone 12 - 5 hours 54 minutes
- iPhone 13 mini - 6 hours 26 minutes
- iPhone 13 - 7 hours 45 minutes
- iPhone 13 Pro - 8 hours 17 minutes
- iPhone 13 Pro Max - 9 hours 52 minutes
The results are really impressive and show that iPhone 13 series provides significant increase in battery life. the iPhone 13 mini was able to easily outperform the iPhone 11 and iPhone 12, which says a lot about how Apple has improved the battery life of its latest iPhones. The iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Pro's battery life is also very impressive, with the latter lasting longer despite a smaller battery thanks to the ProMotion floating display.
