Xiaomi has expanded to 42 models the list of smartphones for which a test version of Android 12 operating system is available. The update is being sent out as part of MIUI 12.5 software.
The stable version of Android 12 will become available for 2021 flagship smartphones in late fall. The company will then start updating the previous generation's top models along with mid-range phones. In the meantime, users have to settle for a beta version of the OS.
The closed beta of MIUI 12.5 on Android 12 is available for several 2021 models:
- Xiaomi Mi 11 / 11 Pro / 11 Ultra;
- Xiaomi Mi 11i;
- Xiaomi Mi 11X / 11X Pro;
- Redmi K40 Pro / K40 Pro+.
A lot more Xiaomi models take part in Android 12 internal testing:
