MIUI for Redmi smartphones will now be different from the firmware for Xiaomi models

As of 2019, Redmi is not just a line of Xiaomi budget smartphones, but a full-fledged independent brand. At least on paper. To make its devices more recognizable Redmi plans to slightly change the MIUI firmware.

What is known

Chinese online informer Digital Chat Station on his page in Weibo wrote that the shell MIUI for smartphones Redmi may appear new brand elements. What that will be, it's hard to say yet. Redmi will probably add a few visual differences to make the firmware at least somewhat different from MIUI for Xiaomi smartphones.

For a fully updated interface and new features, don't count on it. In addition, Redmi does not plan to abandon the software MIUI, as written by some foreign publications. In all likelihood, we will learn about the changes with the announcement of MIUI 13.
