Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 4 Classic smartwatches receive major software update

Samsung continues to improve its current Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 4 Classic smartwatches.

What is known

The Korean manufacturer has released a major system update for the devices. The firmware came out with build number R8xxXXU1DUJA and contains four new watch faces: Info Brick, Basic Dashboard, Weather Center and Live Wallpaper. The first one displays heart rate, steps, calories burned, etc. on the watch screen. The second shows the world time. The third concentrates on the weather and the fourth shows the live wallpaper.

The other interesting feature of the firmware is the ability to install GIF animation on the dial of My Photo+.

The developers also updated the dial Steps Challenge and improved the navigation gestures and fall detection function. Users will now be able to adjust its sensitivity in the settings.

When to expect

The update has only been released in South Korea. Later the firmware should be available in other regions as well.
