The hype around the popular "Squid Game" series is not diminishing, which is being successfully exploited by scammers.
Lucas Stefanko, an Android malware researcher at ESET, reportedthat the Play Market app store has about two hundred apps related to the "Squid Game" series. These include malicious software that Google didn't keep track of.
One app called Squid Game is a malicious Joker-like software. The virus signs users up for paid services without their knowledge by using their account details. The program has already been gotten rid of, but it was downloaded more than 5,000 times before it was deleted.
