Xiaomi has suddenly recalled the popular smartphone brand Redmi, announced two years ago, and released the Android 11 operating system for it.

What is known

Redmi Note 8T got the software update. So far, the update is sent only to members of the program Mi Pilot. And as part of the firmware MIUI 12, not MIUI 12.5. But we are talking about a stable global version. The update number is v12.0.2.0 RCXMIXM.

Recall that the smartphone entered the market with Android 9.0 Pie in early November 2019. Out of the box it ran on the Android 9.0 Pie operating system, which formed the basis of the proprietary firmware MIUI 12. The company does not appear to have any plans to update the shell yet.

Redmi Note 8T is an international copy of the Redmi Note 8. The main difference is the appearance of NFC chip.
