Is it impossible to charge your battery at 104%? A bug in Windows 11 allows this

Microsoft continues to test the new Windows 11 operating system, and bugs occasionally pop up in it. A new bug is related to battery power.

One user posted a screenshot on Reddit forum that shows a battery charge of 103%! He also added that the figure later got to 104%.

Of course, it is physically impossible to charge a laptop battery to more than 100%. modern devices use protective mechanisms to protect the battery from overcharging. So the problem seems to be not related to battery, but related to OS Windows 11.

Why the error - occurred is unclear. And although Microsoft has not yet commented on this situation, the company is already aware of this and is figuring out what happened. In the meantime users are advised to unplug the device from after fully charging it.
