A funny thing happened to the pilot of the plane Piper PA-44 Seminole in the USA. During takeoff, he dropped his iPhone on the runway, but the smartphone remained intact and continued to work.

The incident took place at Orlando Business Airport. How the pilot managed to drop the smartphone is not specified. The plane was traveling at 80-100 km/h (50-60 mph) at the time.

The pilot contacted the dispatcher and reported that the iPhone had fallen out of the cockpit onto the runway. The dispatcher relayed the message to the air traffic control tower. A short time later, the smartphone was recovered.
