Xiaomi ends the life cycle of 12 smartphones in 2019 unexpectedly

Xiaomi stops testing MIUI 12.5 software on several 2019 smartphones. However, they will still receive the MIUI 13 firmware, and this will be the last big update.

On the night of November 25, the models got the latest update. The list of smartphones can be found below:

Xiaomi Mi 9
Xiaomi Mi 9 SE
Xiaomi Mi 9 Pro
Xiaomi CC9
Xiaomi CC9 Meitu
Redmi K20
Redmi K20 Pro
Redmi note 8
Redmi Note 8 Pro

You may notice that the number of models does not match the number given in the title. But remember that Xiaomi CC9, Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro are sold outside of China as Xiaomi Mi 9 Lite, Xiaomi Mi 9T and Xiaomi Mi 9T Pro respectively.

The end of the smartphone lifecycle of 2019 was a matter of time. But the company used to report this several weeks or even months in advance.
