For last year's flagships Samsung Galaxy S20 is already a stable version of Android 12

Samsung continues to test on its smartphones a new version of the Android 12 operating system with a proprietary One UI 4.0 shell.

When?

The Galaxy S21 line, folding smartphones Galaxy Z Fold3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 have already received a stable version of the firmware. And soon the update will be received by last year's flagships Galaxy S20.

Manager beta testing Samsung in Korea said that the company is currently "preparing to open the official version" of Android 12 and One UI 4.0 for the Galaxy S20 series, and that in countries where beta testing continues, new beta versions will not be issued. However, he did not indicate more exact dates.

According to the official schedule, the Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20 +, Galaxy S20 Ultra and Galaxy S20 FE smartphones should receive the update in January. It is possible that the company will make a gift to their owners and release it by the end of December, but given Samsung stops sending One UI 4.0 to Android 12 for three smartphones due to problems with Google Play, it would be better for Samsung not to rush and double-check everything thoroughly.

As a reminder, the Galaxy Note 10, Galaxy Note 20, Galaxy Z Flip, Galaxy Z Flip 5G, Galaxy Fold and Galaxy Z Fold 2 series should also receive an update in January. Next February the update will be released for the Galaxy S10, Galaxy A52 5G and Galaxy series. Tab S7 / Tab S7 +.
