MIUI 13 cuts wireless charging power in Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra - this is not a bug, but a demand from the authorities

Xiaomi last year launched the Mi 11 Pro and Mi 11 Ultra flagship smartphones, which received 67W wireless charging. But the other day the Ultra version got the MIUI 13 update, which cut the charging power.

What is known

There are many bugs in MIUI, but reducing the fast charge power from 67W to 50W is not one of them. Xiaomi had to take such a step due to the demands of the Chinese authorities. Since January 1, 2022, China has banned the production of smartphones with wireless charging capacity exceeding 50W.

To solve this problem in Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra, the company has released the beta version of MIUI 13 firmware dated December 27, 2021. The stable version of the software for the flagship of the previous generation is expected by the end of this month.
