4 years of OS updates and 5 years of security patches: Samsung reveals how long it will support the Galaxy A34 5G and Galaxy A54 5G smartphones

Samsung has recently extended support times for its top-end devices, and has now also promised longer updates for its mid-range smartphones.

Here's What We Know

We're talking about the new Galaxy A34 5G and Galaxy A54 5G models. According to the manufacturer, both devices will receive at least 4 major operating system updates.

Right now, these smartphones are running on Android 13. That is, the gadgets will definitely update to Android 14 with One UI 6, Android 15 with One UI 7, Android 16 with One UI 8 and Android 17 with One UI 9.

In addition, Samsung is promising 5 years to install current Google security patches on the Galaxy A34 5G and Galaxy A54 5G.
