Volkswagen became 'Wolfswagen' in the “Zootopia 2”

Volkswagen and Walt Disney Animation Studios have announced a joint advertising campaign for the upcoming premiere of 'Zootopia 2' in theaters on November 26. The main feature of the collaboration: three animated cars will appear in the cartoon, inspired by Volkswagen electric vehicles - ID.3, ID.4 and ID.7 Tourer. 

What was shown in the advertisement

Before the November premiere, Volkswagen released a joint commercial. In the 30-second video, Volkswagen cars look like they belong in 'Zootopia' - they were 'Zootopified' for the cartoon. The new song by pop star Gazelle also plays in the video. The spot will be shown in theaters, on TV, and on social media worldwide.

Volkswagen transformed into Wolfswagen

One of the features of the 'Zootopia' plot is a humorous reflection of our world: from the human traits of the characters to parodies of famous brands with animal puns. In 'Zootopia 2', Volkswagen will appear as 'Wolfswagen' - a play on words related to the company's headquarters in Wolfsburg.

The advertising campaign is adapted for different countries and includes various activities. For example, in Germany, the brand uses it to promote favorable leasing offers on Golf, ID.7 Tourer, and T-Cross.

About 'Zootopia 2'

In the new cartoon, rookie police officers Judy Hopps (voiced by Ginnifer Goodwin) and Nick Wilde (Jason Bateman) investigate a mysterious case after Gary De'Snake (Ke Huy Quan) arrives in Zootopia and turns the animal metropolis upside down. To solve the crime, Judy and Nick go undercover to unexpected parts of the city, where their partnership undergoes a serious test.

The cast also includes Fortune Feimster, Andy Samberg, David Straithairn, Idris Elba, Patrick Warburton, Quinta Brunson, Danny Trejo, Nate Torrance, Jenny Slate, Alan Tudyk, Bonnie Hunt, Don Lake, and Shakira, who will once again voice Gazelle.
