Google Messages got a major update: new app icon, PiP support for YouTube, and reactions to messages

Google has announced a major new update for the Messages app.

Here's What We Know

First of all, Google Messages has received a new application icon. In addition, the developers have added to the program the ability to put reactions to messages using emoji, as well as respond to a particular message.

Of the innovations, we should also mention the support for Picture in Picture (PiP aka Picture in Picture) for YouTube, the ability to set reminders in the chat and schedule events, as well as the translation of voice messages into text. The latter feature will work exclusively on the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro smartphones.

As usual, Google is adding innovations to the app in waves. The new features should be coming to everyone soon.
