Bigme unveiled the world's first e-book with an E Ink screen that supports over 50,000 colors

The company Bigme together with Good E-reader announced an unusual e-book.

Here's What We Know

The device boasts an 8-inch E Ink screen. According to the manufacturer, it is the world's first e-book with a panel that supports more than 50,000 colors (300ppi). The screen has a 36-level double backlight, night mode, WACOM stylus support and four color profiles: HD Mode, Standard Mode, Speed Mode and Black & white Mode. It can be used as a tablet, day planner, notebook or photo frame.

The e-book runs on an unknown octa-core processor with a clock frequency of 2.3 GHz. The novelty has a fingerprint scanner, two cameras, microphone, stereo speakers, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal memory. If desired, the storage can be expanded with a microSD card. The gadget comes with an operating system Android 11, Play Store and proprietary software for text recognition and editing. The tablet is powered by a 4000 mAh battery. It charges through a USB-C port.

Price & When We Can Expect It

The tablet can already be pre-ordered on the Good E-reader website for $699. Sales of the device will begin in February 2023.
