ASUS unveils ROG Ally portable Windows gaming console that supports GeForce RTX 4090

Taiwanese technology giant ASUS announced a new handheld console on 1 April. Two days later, it was fully unveiled. The console is called ASUS ROG Ally.

Here's What We Know

The portable gaming console is equipped with an AMD hybrid processor, but the specifications are not specified. That said, we're talking about a dedicated chip, not a production one. ASUS is already calling it the fastest. According to unconfirmed information, the APU has Zen 3+ cores and RDNA 3 graphics.

The ASUS ROG Ally features a Full HD display with a 16 to 9 aspect ratio and a 7" diagonal. The refresh rate is 120Hz and the brightness is 500 nits. Two fans are provided for cooling.

The gaming console gets four X / Y / A / B buttons, a crossbar, cursors and two sticks. An external ROG XG Mobile graphics card, based on the GeForce RTX 4090, can be connected to the ASUS ROG Ally.

Price & When We Can Expect It

More information about the ASUS ROG Ally is not available at the moment. The price and launch date are not specified either.
