Samsung Odyssey Neo G9: 49-inch Curved Mini LED 240Hz Gaming Monitor for $2,499
Korean manufacturer Samsung has unveiled its new Odyssey gaming monitor.
What we know
The monitor is named Samsung Odyssey Neo G9 and is the successor to Odyssey G9. The novelty boasts a curved 49-inch display with a 32:9 aspect ratio, Dual Quad High-Definition resolution (5120 × 1440p) and a contrast ratio of 1,000,000:1. The screen supports refresh rate - 240 Hz and peak brightness - 2000 nits. The declared response time is 1 ms.
The panel is TÜV Rheinland certified (guarantees minimal blue light emission), a Mini LED matrix like Samsung's Neo QLED TVs, and Quantum Matrix technology. It provides improved 12-bit gradation for more precise control of the light source. With 2048 local dimming zones, Quantum Mini LED modules make dark areas darker and light areas brighter. The new product has two HDMI 2.1, one DisplayPort 1.4 and two USB ports. The monitor comes with a stand that is adjustable in height and tilt.
