ASUS held an event on 13 April to showcase its new ROG Phone 7 gaming smartphone.

Here's What We Know

The novelty has received two versions: ASUS ROG Phone 7 and ASUS ROG Phone 7 Ultimate. They differ in memory modifications. The former has 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage. The top-end model only comes with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.

The gadget boasts a large 6.78-inch screen with a 165Hz Samsung AMOLED matrix, 2448×1080p resolution and 1ms response time. The maximum brightness of the panel reaches 1500 nits.

The smartphone is powered by the top-of-the-line Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. It works in tandem with the GameCool7 cooling system. In addition to this you can buy a branded cooler with built-in subwoofer and RGB-lighting. The smartphone is also equipped with a 6000mAh battery with 65W charging. By the way, the battery is divided into two parts. Also the gadget has two USB-C ports.

As for the cameras, there are four in the ASUS ROG Phone 7: triple main 50 MP + 13 MP + 5 MP and a single 8 MP front. The smartphone has a body with dimensions of 173×77×10.4 mm, weighing 239 grams and IP54 protection, as well as stereo speakers and a small colour screen (in the Ultimate version) on the back. It shows different animations and displays some notifications.

Price & When We Can Expect It

The ASUS ROG Phone 7 is already available for pre-order in Europe. The base version of the smartphone costs from €999, while the top version costs €1399. As for the cooler, it will be sold for €110.
