Bell has delivered a third batch of AH-1Z Viper and UH-1Y Venom military helicopters to the Czech Republic to replace the Mi-24/35 and Mi-17/171 that were transferred to Ukraine

The Czech Republic has received two more Bell military helicopters. The American company sent the European country one AH-1Z Viper and one UH-1Y Venom each.

Here's What We Know

The new helicopters were added to the 22nd air base of the Czech Air Force. The C-17 Globemaster III transport aircraft was used for the delivery.

The AH-1Z Viper attack helicopter has the flight number 0489. At the same time, the UH-1Y Venom multirole UH-1Y was given the number 0491. Earlier, the Czech Air Force received one Venom and three Viper helicopters.

In total, the European country will receive 20 American helicopters (10 Viper and Venom each). They will be a replacement for the Mi-24/35 and Mi-17/171, which were transferred to the Armed Forces of Ukraine after the invasion of the Russian Federation.

The Czech Republic initially ordered only 12 US helicopters. Another eight air platforms will be given free of charge by the US as a thank you for helping Ukraine. The Czech Republic will also receive Sidewinder and Hellfire missiles.
