Hackers hacked the YouTube channel Linus Tech Tips with 15 million subscribers and ran an ad for a cryptocurrency scam with Elon Musk

Cybercriminals managed to hack into three of Linus Media Group's YouTube channels, including Linus Tech Tips. After gaining access, the hackers ran ads for the fraudulent service.

Here's What We Know

The Linus Tech Tips YouTube channel has more than 15 million subscribers. The attackers also gained access to Tech Quickie and TechLinked with 4.2 million and 1.8 million subscribers respectively.

As of now, all three channels have been blocked. Linus Media Group said it is aware of the hack and has taken steps to restore the channels.

After gaining access to Linus Tech Tips, Tech Quickie and TechLinked, hackers launched a broadcast with US billionaire Elon Musk to promote the fake cryptocurrency giveaway scam.
