4 nanometers, 5G support and up to 2.2 GHz: Insider reveals details of Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chip

Insider Evan Blass has published detailed specifications of the new Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 processor.

Here's What We Know

The novelty passes with the model number SM6450. With a high degree of probability, the chip will be the successor to the Snapdragon 695. It will boast Kryo cores with a maximum clock frequency of 2.2 GHz. The processor will support USB 3.1 and RAM up to 12 GB LPDDR5 with a frequency of 2750 mHz.

Modem Snapdragon X62 processor is responsible for connectivity. It will support 5G networks mmWave and sub-6GHz. Smartphones based on Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 will come with FHD + screens and refresh rate up to 120 Hz. In addition, they will get support for Qualcomm FastConnect 6700 WiFi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, a triple camera with 13 MP sensors, a dual 25 MP + 16 MP camera and a single 48 MP camera.

When We Can Expect It

Unfortunately, the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 announcement date is not yet available, but we can assume that the chip will be presented along Qualcomm to unveil flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor at Snapdragon Summit event on November 15.
