Carl Pei: Nothing Phone (2) will run on last year's flagship Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip

The founder of Nothing, Carl Pei, has revealed what kind of processor the company's new smartphone will get.

So, the novelty will be equipped with the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor. This is last year's flagship chip, which is built on a 4-nanometer process. The SoC has eight cores with a maximum clock speed of 3.2GHz. In comparison, the current version of the Nothing Phone (1) runs on a mid-range chip, the Snapdragon 778G+.

There has been a lot of discussion ever since we announced that Phone (2) will have a Snapdragon 8 Series chipset. As for other specifications of the Nothing Phone (2), it is known that the novelty will be equipped with a 120Hz AMOLED display. The gadget is also expected to get 12GB of RAM, a 5000mAh battery and the proprietary Glyph backlight.
