Xiaomi prepares Redmi 12 for release: price, specifications and release date

Xiaomi is set to launch a new budget smartphone, the Redmi, in Europe.

Here's What We Know

We are talking about the Redmi 12. According to the leak, the novelty will get a body with dimensions of 168.60×76.28×8.17 mm and weighs 199 grams. The smartphone will be equipped with a 6.79-inch screen with Full HD+ resolution, TFT matrix and 90Hz refresh rate. The gadget will run the MediaTek Helio G88 chip paired with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Apart from that, the novelty will get a 5000mAh battery, 18W charging, USB Type-C port, dual-SIM slot and microSD up to 1TB, and a 3.5mm jack.

As for the cameras, there will be four: a 50 MP + 8 MP + 2 MP triple main camera and an 8 MP single front-facing one. The smartphone should come with Android 12 operating system and MIUI 13 shell.

Price & When We Can Expect It

If rumours are to be believed, the Redmi 12 will be released on June 2. The novelty will cost €199 in Europe.
