Huawei may use an in-house manufactured CMOS sensor in the Huawei P70 Pro flagship

Next year will be the presentation of flagship smartphones Huawei P70. In them may debut a new CMOS sensor produced by the Chinese company.

Here's What We Know

Huawei is at risk of remaining without Sony image sensors. At least, such rumours are now circulating in Chinese social networks. The company will try to solve the problem with its own efforts, creating a new CMOS sensor.

Huawei has long been using Sony sensors. And we are talking about non-standard sensors, which have two yellow subpixels instead of two green ones. However, insider Fix Focus Digital reports that Huawei and Sony have not renewed the co-operation agreement.

Note that Huawei has been in a similar situation before. Previously, the Chinese company ended its partnership with Leica, after which it created its own XMAGE platform. Recently, the production of HiSilion chips was resumed, and four years ago Huawei created its own operating system HarmonyOS.
