Learn more about the companions and residents of the Sumeru region in Genshin Impact

The experts at HoYoverse continue to prepare the ground for the release of a new region in Genshin Impact. In a fresh development diary, the studio has detailed about Sumer and its inhabitants.

The information from the video in short:

  • Sumeria is called the kingdom of the wise. The entire state is ruled by the Academy. Knowledge is considered a resource to be managed. This is done with the help of the Heart of God, the gift of Rukhadevata, the ancient Dendro Archonte.
  • Many twilight people, especially adults, do not dream. However, this is not considered an affliction, but a sign of high intelligence.
  • Demonstrated potential companions from Sumer. Among them is Tignari, officially introduced earlier. In addition, gamers will soon be introduced to the following characters:
    • Explorer Al-Haytham,
    • Desert mercenary Dehya,
    • Nile dancer,
    • Mysterious girl Nahoda,
    • General Mahomatra Saino.
  • The flora and fauna of Sumeru are different from the regions familiar to travelers. Wet and warm climate allowed mushrooms not only to grow but also to evolve. They took different forms, from the simplest mold to more evolved organisms with animal properties.
    • The footage also showed a large representative of the cat family and wild boars overgrown with moss.
  • The ranks of enemies will be joined by the Desertmen, representatives of the ancient people of the sands, who have become mercenaries. And next to the ancient buildings in the desert inhabited by intelligent mechanisms.

Twilight and everything connected with it will appear in Genshin Impact with version 3.0 in the near future. An official release date has not yet been announced, but the update is expected to arrive in late August. Previously, HoYoverse talked about the Dendro element, and introduced the remaining members of the enemy Fatuya organization.
